Faisal Mosque is the biggest Mosque of Pakistan which is situated in Islamabad, close to Margalla Hills. It is the 6th biggest Mosque on the planet.

History and Architecture:

 


         It was built in 1986. While it has a limit of 300 thousand admirers. It was built under a normal plan of Bedouin Tent while comprising of eight sides of the shell made of cement. The mosque was built with the assistance of the Saudi Arabian King Shah Faisal.  

 

 

  The development of the Mosque was planned by a Turkish Architect who is named Vedat Dalokay, and the Mosque has covered an all-out space of 130 thousand square meters. Development of the Mosque included 260 feet high minarets, a supplication lobby, the principal entrance, concentrate on rooms, an auditorium, a yard, and some more. It was worked with a hint of Kaaba. 

 

  The Faisal Mosque was developed under the state of 8 – sided substantial shell, which is motivated by Kaaba and the Arabian Desert Bedouin Tent. There is an aggregate of 4 minarets built toward the edges of the Mosque, which are 88 meters long. The dividers of the mosque are improved with calligraphy and mosaic by a Pakistani craftsman named Sadequain

  

 

 The state of the inside corridor is covered with white marble. Calligraphy is composed of these marbles by a Pakistani craftsman named Sadequain. Some of the stanzas of the Qur'an have been composed on the divider with the calligraphically composed Karma.

Prayer Hall:


       A prayer hall has been developed for the admirers to bring to the table supplication. It has a limit of 200 thousand admirers. A large number of Muslims visit Faisal Mosque to offer Eid Prayers. The corridor of the supplication is upheld by 4 supports of cement.

 The Mosque has been a focal point of the traveler's advantage because of its plan, engineering, and magnificence. A huge number of sightseers visit the Mosque to see the advanced style compositional plan, which addresses Islam, harmony, and concordance. 

 

 

The Mosque is giving phenomenal views from Margalla Hills and The Centaurus. It will give you a noteworthy touch after visiting Faisal Mosque.

 

Award: 

            The modeler was granted Agha Khan Award for best Architecture because of his advanced style plan of the Mosque.
