Mac Book Pro and Chrome Book Pro

 

Mac Book Pro 16 inches

 

My professional use case is mainly comprised of running, video editing, editing, and viewing videos. I can’t wait to see (almost a full) generation of laptops. I can’t wait to buy my mom that Mac Book Pro she had, but I can’t afford the price. Or could I? With that in mind, I bought a 256GB Samsung Chromebook Pro. Not because I wanted to put it back in the closet. No, this Chromebook Pro is my work laptop.

 I took it home with me in the hope that this would not be an “impossible job”.

 On the first day, I unboxed the laptop and I never took it off my lap again. Yes, it is 14 inches. Which is too big for me to use every single day. Let’s be clear, one of the goals for me to buy this Chromebook Pro is to use my laptop nearly the whole day long. I think that’s why I chose 16 GB of ram. That way, I can run a whole load of apps at once, without having to let it run off the motherboard. This is an image of what I see on my left (color of blue) and my right (white). The white represents the processor, the blue is the display (white).

As for the keyboard, there are no squishy feeling buttons. The keys are excellent, it was amazing.

I think this Chromebook Pro is the best keyboard I have ever used on a laptop. If you have the opportunity to buy a Chromebook Pro, I am not going to be able to compete with this one. 

 

The screen

It is weird how dark it is. I love how dark I feel when I am watching videos (I watch about 15 videos per day). Oh yes, it is only 6.7 hours of battery life, which is also not that long.

If you are running low on battery, just power off your laptop and leave it in its “sleep” state.

Android version

Both devices can play videos and play apps. I downloaded the Android version which has 2 GB of ram. Why? Because a Chromebook Pro does not have a hard drive anymore. Plus, it is growing, it will not last for long (the RAM will fill up).

The RAM also helps the laptop run better. The screen itself, the battery, the RAM, and the processor all work in tandem. When I leave my notebook on, they all run at the same speed. I think it’s good to have multiple things that work together.

But there is an app issue (as well as I expected). I have tried several apps and they are not able to connect to it. So why? Apple on an Android device that doesn’t have an over-the-air update? I think if I have to go to the App Store, I can get the app updated myself. But that is a pain in the neck.

I recently tried Google Play Music and it took me about 35 minutes to load to the Music section. So I am hoping (and it has happened quite a lot) that the version of an app that is based on the OS that you have is installed. 

 

                                        Batteries

I’m comparing Chromebook Pro and Mac Book Pro on two screens. But I’m also comparing them in terms of keyboard design. I have not yet found a comparison between the battery life, but I’m sure Chromebook Pro will last you more than 7.5 hours.    

 

 Conclusion :

                         Today, I have proven that a Chromebook Pro with 16 GB of ram is better than Mac Book Pro, but at a pricier price. Even though I like Chrome OS, I have to admit the X1Book 16 G2 keyboard is super good. If you do not want to wear a leather Mac Book cover, but like the keyboard, I’m pretty sure Chromebook Pro would suit you.

I think I recommend you buy Chromebook Pro because Chromebooks are more about showing off than doing many tasks. I think the notebook will make your work easier too.
